K-C, which ranked ninth in the 2009 listing, improved its score with a ranking of five, making it the top-rated non-food consumer products company on the magazine's 2010 list.
Energy Star® Partner of the Year
Kimberly-Clark Corporation was named a 2010 Energy Star Partner of the Year by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). For the second consecutive year, K-C will be recognized for its energy management practices and commitment to sustainable operations, resulting in significant energy and financial savings.
EPA Green Power Partner
Kimberly-Clark Corporation ranked No. 15 on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) National Top 50 List of the largest green power users and No. 9 on the Fortune 500 Green Power List. According to the EPA, Kimberly-Clark's production of over 220 million kWh of green power is equivalent to avoiding the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions of more than 29,000 passenger vehicles per year, or is the equivalent amount of electricity needed to power more than 21,000 average American homes annually.
